The Big Move

The day before my 8th birthday we moved into our new home in California.  It was a buzz of a 24 hour flight from the philippines to Japan to Norway to Russia to Alaska To San Fransico to San Diego, ya gotta love the military in the early 70's.

We pulled up in front of the house and they were tearing down the old garage in the driveway.  To a seasoned paranormal investigator that might signal the begining of what was to come only I was about to be an 8 year old what did I know really, even with the experiences in the philippines.

And the spirits wasted no time making themselves known or that the house was thiers.  It began with the noises, a loud bang.  Finding a door open and upon thinking about it being sure you closed it.  Little items going missing, a fork from the table, keys from the wall, even a bar of soap from the shower.

When those didn't do the trick of chasing us out the spirits upped the anty.  Lights coming on by themselves, even tho the entire wiring system in the house was brand spanking new.  The tv turning on or off by itself.  Leaving the house for the day and coming home to find all the doors open.  Mom's solution, change out all....ALL the doors.  They changed them to sliding doors except the front door.  Never found one open again but would find them unlocked.

In the interim I was experincing strange things, more strange than in the philippines the strangest of all and something I still can not explain to this day.
I was sleeping and got woke up to the sound of musicbox music.  I thought someone was just playing it but got up and followed the sound.  I ended up in the kitchen, standing at the window looking out at the back yard.

Suddenly I found myself standing under an old canvas tent.  Actually standing under it.  The music was playing, I could smell the smell of horses, dirt, old canvas, hay......I saw a woman in her early 20s with long brown hair wearing a yellow dress.  Those similar to the dresses I later found women wore in the late 1700 early 1800's.  She saw me and approched me.  I remember feeling scared.  She came up to me and taking my hand told me I wasn't suppose to be there, that I had to go back to bed.

She took my hand and lead me back toward the house.  My parents found me curled up on top of the new counter under the same window I had been looking out of...to this day I think weird and what the hell was that, no one has an answer.
